With more than nine years experience in the hospitality and accounting industries, Jaclyn launched FreshEye Innovative Solutions to help small and start-up businesses grow and succeed.  She is a strong leader who is an entrepreneurial self-starter recognized for innovating new processes, procedures, and performance-management policies to improve efficiencies, revenue, and customer experience. She is a positive team player with proven organizational, problem solving, time-management skills, and exceptional quality standards.


Jaclyn holds a B.B.A. from James Madison University with a double concentration in Accounting and Hospitality.  Upon graduation, in 2005, she entered into public accounting with Ernst & Young and gained audit experience primarily in the Technology, Entertainment and Communications industry focusing on an integrated audit of AOL LLC.  Her other experience includes Aerospace and Defense Government Contracting, Real Estate, Pharmaceutical, and Financial Services for audits of public and private companies.

In 2009, Jaclyn ventured into the wine industry.  Having started with a winery when it was only six months old and a small production of 3,000 cases, she helped to grow the winery over a 5-year period into becoming one of the largest wineries in Loudoun County, VA with an increase in customer base and wine production of over 10,000 cases.   Jaclyn started with the winery as the Events & Accounting Manager, but her position evolved as the winery continued to expand over time.  She quickly became the go-to person and was promoted as the Operations Manager where she managed and oversaw the accounting and overall operations of the tasting room, events, sales, marketing and business administration



Highlights of past responsibilities and achievements include:


  • Implemented the integration of QuickBooks Point of Sale with the back-end accounting system, QuickBooks Enterprise, and reconfigured the general ledger, sales and accounting structure in both systems, which produced more accurate revenue and inventory reporting.

  • Researched and became knowledgeable of the entire winemaking and vineyard process.  Applied the process to accounting principals to calculate the cost of the wine and produced more accurate cost of goods sold and financial reporting.

  • Coordinated and was responsible for the transition to bring all accounting functions in-house from a third party accounting firm, reducing expenses by 5%. 

  • Responsible for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, cash/credit card deposits, annual 1099 reporting, monthly tax reports including Sales & Use Tax, Liter Tax Report and all general accounting functions.

  • Developed a process and prepared filing of the Federal Tax & Trade Alcohol Excise Report and Wine Premise Reports (both quarterly and annual), as well as created a more efficient structure for future quarterly reporting. 

  • Successfully turned around operations of the tasting room through organization, recruited a talented and motivated team, implemented a new training program, maintained relations with existing staff and overall morale during the tasting room management transition.

  • Developed a marketing plan and performed marketing outreach duties, controlled costs, managed budgets, as well as set and reached sales goals. Successful marketing efforts resulted in media attention of several events in the Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Virginia WineLover Magazine and The Washington Post.

  • Established new model and standard for successfully assisting with VA ABC audit, which the VA ABC adopted for competitor businesses’ audit processes.

  • Created, coordinated and executed a new events structure and pricing model that increased the quantity of events and revenues by 150%, while maintaining positive four and five star reviews on WeddingWire.com.

  • Successfully implemented multiple internal profitable events and increased revenues by 25% within one year. 

  • Created a ‘Name Our Wine Contest’ and successfully engaged customers to become connected with the ultra-premium flagship wine.

  • Successfully created a “Pre-Release Party” for a flagship wine and sold out the event within 3 days, which generated an increase in sales of 75% of the routine daily sales.
